Becoming a childcare provider always seemed to be what was destined for me. Back in Venezuela, my mother was an elementary school teacher and a lawyer, and many of my other family members owned childcare facilities. Therefore, I grew up surrounded by people who knew and taught me the value of education, especially for children. My first job in Venezuela was as a substitute teacher with my mother, and as a helper at local daycares, and when I moved to the US, my first job was as a preschool teacher. I chose to follow this line of work not only because of how fun and lively it is to teach, but because I believe there is nothing more rewarding than sharing in the development of a child. I have also always wanted to be an independent business owner and woman. In starting my own preschool and daycare center, I have been able to complete two dreams at once by fully creating my own business that supports all the ideals I hold for childhood education and care. Additionally, when I became a mother, I was able to be with my children through every step of their growth by bringing them to The Little Home. The experiences with my own family, and all the children that have attended The Little Home, have been beyond rewarding. I am so honored to have committed my life to this work.
